The MAPS section of our research database includes some historic maps of the Solano County area.  Many of these maps date back as early as 1915.  The maps were carefully scanned in sections, digitally "stitched" together, and compressed in the Adobe "Flash" format for convenient viewing on our website.

The Adobe/Macromedia Flash plug-in is required in order to view these maps.

Chances are, you probably already have this software installed on your system.  If not, then it will automatically be installed when you visit one of our interactive maps.  If the installation does not work, or you would like to manually install flash, visit the link below:

What do the maps look like?

Where do I go to view them?
Visit the Maps section of our database by clicking HERE

Tips:
  1. These high resolution maps are best viewed using a high speed internet connection.
  2. Allow the map to load before trying to zoom in and navigate.
  3. While zooming in and panning, certain areas of the map may appear blurry or out of focus.  This is normal as the sections are being rendered/fetched from the map server.  Depending on your internet connection speed, a short delay may occur.  Simply wait for that area to render before zooming or panning any further.
  4. After viewing the map for a while, the panning and zooming speeds will increase.
